While working at the restaurant while working I've improved my time management; I've developed my multitasking skills as you need to have the ability to switch back and forth from tasks relatively quickly, I've also learned how to solve problems and solve conflicts in the calmest and best way possible
While working in the retail environment ive started paying attention to the detail as when I was cashing up and taking detail of a customer complaint I also improved my interpersonal skills and this has benefited me as I verbally and nonverbally interact with others. This involves skills like patience, communication and active listening. Working in retail, we can expect to work with diverse groups of people who have different needs and cultures and being able to interact with more diverse customers will make the company come across as more diverse.
Due to my responsible nature, i was responsible for stacking shelves, managing money and assisting customers to the best of my ability. I sometimes had to work on my own even during the more busy times of the day. Finally i was also required to clean and lock up at the end of the day before i left, highlighting even more how responsible i am, allowing me to work without close supervision
