A day volunteering at the MOBO awards show. My role included welcoming the VIP attendees to the venue, ticketing, the red carpet walk and seating them. I ushered and welcomed the guests whilst working with a team of 8 other volunteers. With a good relationship with my team the arrival on venue to seating the VIP guest was seamless and eficient.
Two-week internship at the prestigious 4-star hotel. I worked under the General Managers assistant as the assistant event coordinator and assistant personal assistant. I learnt to use the OPERA property management system. Task included: •Producing reports for the general manager such as banquet event orders, managers flash, history and forecast and event list. •Receiving calls, internal and external and communicating efectively (Phone etiquette) •Negotiations for hotel rates •Producing reports for the client such as proposals, quotations, proforma invoices and contracts •Service skills such as serving guests, cleaning dishes and shining glasses and high tea table setting •Conference setup and wedding setup
