Pattern Maker and Fashion Designer Currently working freelance with design and material sourcing as well as running a sewing pattern company focusing on creating digital downloadable sewing patterns for home sewists of all levels.
Head of design: Working as the solo designer for the brand doing everything from designing knitwear and woven pieces, building the collection plans, sourcing fabrics and accessories, creating all the technical files and flat drawings, doing extensive seasonal research and compiling the trend reports for each season. As well as attending fitting sessions to evaluate samples.
Pattern making and design assistant: Tasks included knitwear and swimwear design (women’s RTW as well as bralettes, underwear and 1-pieces), pattern making, sewing of prototypes, flat drawings, textile print design, sock design, making gradation size tables in excel as well as technical sheets for both knitwear, woven and swim. Worked in direct contact with manufacturers regarding prototypes and launching productions. Was also involved in the sourcing and selection of fabrics.
