My role at this hotel mainly required a lot of customer service, where I would have to take orders of food and drinks from customers in small and large groups, it simply required me to be very sociable, attentive and friendly to all the customers and in house guests. This job mainly consisted of a lot of social skills with customers and also colleagues as on busy/ stressful days, it would be required to have a lot of communication with my colleagues so no food or drink orders go wrong, and also a lot of patience as sometimes the customers may not always understand the menu or know english very well. It also was needed for me to have very good memory, as I was instructed to learn the drink and food menu, how each item tasted, and to also know its contents due to potential allergies. Which has given me a great skill for work as I now contain very good memory Work Experience

My role consisted of picking, packing and scanning items for delivery, ensuring each item was shipped to the correct location/s. I was also responsible for inspecting items making sure it met standards a and there was no damages or faults before any delivery was proceeded, I also did some customer service in making sure customers were fine around the store, and getting the required clothing, and secondly I gained a lot of organisation skills, mainly due to being in charge of making sure all the stock was in its right place around the store.

I am currently volunteering as an underage sales test purchaser for the Trading Standard Team at Tower Hamlets Council. I have conducted one operation to date which required me to purchase vapes from shops identified as selling products without asking for photo ID. I enjoyed this experience and will be taking part in other operations which include the sale of knives, alcohol, and tobacco products. I really enjoyed the first operation as it was eye-opening to see how the Trading Standards Team operate and identify establishments that sell products that require a legal age requirement.
