Adele Zavagno

I am a designer who integrates creativity and research as tools for technical inquiry. For me, creativity is not an end in itself but a method to explore materials, processes, and complex systems. My work focuses on managing and translating information — from technical data to product development stages — into actionable knowledge. I believe the future of design and innovation does not lie in producing more objects, but in the ability to navigate the growing complexity of materials, people, and processes, generating sustainable and systemic solutions. I graduated from a MSc in Design for the Fashion System at Politecnico di Milano in 2023. I have completed an Erasmus+ program in Copenhagen where I had the pleasure to spend a semester at KEA Copenhagen School of Design and Technology in the specialization Sustainable Fashion Tech. Since the beginning of 2023 I work as a technical designer and pattern maker in Italy (LG & SLG) in the luxury sector. In 2025 I completed International Bio-Based Materials course on The Material Way Platform, exhibiting my work during London Design Festival at the Materials Matter fair, showcasing a material research project on regenerative soft bioplastic surfaces.
