Worked to a strict deadline, keeping in touch with photographers to ensure swift completion of tasks and submission of final articles and photograph options.
Part of the creative direction team for the 'Henry' music video by Flo Wilkes, contributing largely as a stylist as well as working in collaboration with the rest of the creative team, and contributing to the marketing campaigns of the artist and her video. Responsible for creating garment and style moodboards that fit artist briefs, sourcing relevant pieces within a given budget and timeframe, overseeing and approving cast members' outfits on set, and capturing behind-the-scenes footage for marketing use.
I have been invited to contribute to MACFEST conferences, speaking on the personal and cultural significance I find in linguistics, furthering MACFEST's mission to celebrate languages as a proponent of culture. Previous conference participation has required me to produce original poetry on such topics, as well as discussing academic writing of my own on topics such as the philosophy of language and linguistic subcultures.
I performed in the musical 'Gypsy' at the Crescent Theatre, managing the work of two roles in the show, rehearsing three times a week over the course of four months, undertake alongside my studies for the International Baccalaureate.
Fulfilled the role of teaching assistant in a special educational needs school, offering both help to teachers and 1-to-1 student assistance in humanities, art, and history classes. I also individually led some language sessions with classes, teaching French, Ancient Greek, and more general linguistic skills. I oversaw the timely planning of lessons within strict deadlines, creation of engaging, student-focused presentations and lesson materials, and the delivery of sessions to pupils.
I was invited to deliver a talk at the WoLLOW (World of Languages, Languages of the World) conference, hosted in March 2023, discussing my experiences as a multilingual child in the Anglocentric school system. Transcripts of my talk were subsequently published in magazines such as The Linguist and Languages Today.
