Originally, I am from Lithuania where knitting as a craft has very long roots and I first picked up knitting needles thanks to my grandmother. I am drawn to knitting because I love the process of a simple yarn creating three-dimensional pieces to wear. To me, it is like magic seeing before and after. My work aesthetic is best described as romantic and nostalgic, always looking at nature for inspiration. I love history therefore I am never far away from searching through vintage or looking at historical costumes unpicking the way things were made in the past, by hand. Craftsmanship and provenance of the materials are immensely important to me as a designer therefore I mainly use natural fibres in my work, striving to produce quality that will last.
