Senior Social Media Executive

Harrods

As a Senior Social Media Executive, my primary role was to bring Harrods, a world-renowned luxury department store, to a global digital audience by creating and delivering high-end content across all social media channels. Leading a team, I was responsible for ensuring the brand's digital presence remained innovative and competitive across multiple platforms. Key responsibilities included: Driving revenue growth by supporting commercial teams with relevant, engaging content. Content creation: Managing daily posts, including both photography and copywriting. Performance analysis: Evaluating data to inform content strategies and improve engagement. Community management: Responding to customer feedback and managing crisis situations. Collaborating closely with divisional Marketing Managers, I helped implement social media strategies that supported multi-channel campaigns, such as the Harrods x Gucci takeover. I also cultivated relationships with key influencers to enhance brand awareness and drive customer acquisition. The role required adaptability and a high degree of flexibility, particularly when covering events like London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. In these dynamic environments, maintaining consistent communication and effectively managing real-time updates was crucial. A core aspect of my work was shaping and influencing brand perception, ensuring that Harrods’ tone of voice was always aligned with its luxury values and guidelines. I consistently planned and executed innovative social media strategies to drive brand loyalty and foster emotional connections with both new and existing audiences.
