Boom Battle Bar

Boom Battle Bar is a high energy venue that combines interactive competitive games (such as axe throwing, darts and shuffleboard) with big energy, and getting people fully involved. I run game sessions for all kinds of groups, birthdays, work nights, couples, big groups out to have fun. I teach axe throwing and other games, get people confident quickly, and make sure everyone enjoys themselves, even if they start off nervous. Axe throwing is a big part of the role. I'm trusted to train guests safely and properly, and I can now land three consecutive axes in the bullseye, which helps when people are watching and need convincing. Every group brings a different vibe. I read the room fast, match the energy, and make sure no one gets left out. Alongside hosting, I'm working with the team on their social media strategy, helping shape content that reflects how fun and addictive the games actually are. People leave smiling, competitive in the best way, and already planning a rematch.

The best burgers with the worst service imaginable, Karen's Diner is chaos with boundaries. I worked in character the whole time, reacting to guests as they came at me. Some wanted it loud and brutal, some needed easing in, some surprised themselves by loving it. I helped organise influencer filming days, did interviews with the Daily Mail, and looked after high-profile guests. One night I gave a Saudi princess a full-on roasting. Her bodyguards were horrified. She loved it (as the tip proved!). I also helped set up and run the Instagram channel, filming and shaping content that matched the tone of the place. I handled big personalities, awkward moments, and things going slightly off the rails, without dropping character or killing the mood. You have to think fast, stay confident, and know where the line is between funny and just rude. I know the line. Created a lively and engaging atmosphere by quickly adjusting to diverse customer dynamics, ensuring every guest had a memorable experience. Delivered an authentic Karen's Diner experience, excelling in maintaining character while adapting to unique customer interactions. Developed a deep understanding of team dynamics, successfully leading a team to perform with cohesion and mutual trust. Displayed strong improvisation skills, handling unpredictable situations with poise and creativity.
