I create bespoke tailored Western Wear using vintage machines and traditional British tailoring techniques. Inspired by the country music culture of my native Texas, the embroidered suits worn by performers like Dolly Parton and Hank Williams and the beautiful natural surroundings of my adopted home of Yorkshire. With LongTimeGone, sustainability is a main priority, and deadstock and vintage materials are used where possible to be kind to the earth as well as one-of-a-kind. After nearly 20 years in academia, primarily as a research physicist, and having had a love for textile arts and making clothing since childhood, LongTimeGone combines the precision of my scientific background with my creative drive to make stunning garments that are as unique as the wearer. I have trained in Savile Row cutting and tailoring methods to combine the best of British suit-making with the Western Wear traditions of the American South.
