As part of my Social Media training for Digital Mums, and from a client brief, I devised a social media campaign to raise Brand Awareness of The Blue Room, a social enterprise arts & crafts retailer in Nailsea, Bristol. By developing user personas of target customers and identifying key influencers, I created and implemented a content strategy, using social media tools such as Hootsuite. Using KPI's I monitored the performance of the campaign and reported back to client on a weekly basis, including results of the advertising. I achieved between a 26% and 115% increase in results across KPI's for Facebook and between 267% and 14,231% increase in KPI's for Twitter.
Set up by my business partner and I, DIMITY FAYRE was born out of a passion for celebrating the wealth of great craftsmanship in Britain. Through our online boutique we sold lovingly hand-crafted products showcasing both contemporary skills and the old crafts from the UK; each item was carefully handpicked by ourselves and where possible, produced exclusively for us. Selling at craft fairs, supplier liaison, stock management, product development, website management, customer service, packaging, photography, styling, blog writing and marketing were all skills learnt through owning and running a small retail business.
