Proposed new concepts, vintage research and prototypes to help kickstart the AW25 Precollection, working in tandem with the head of tailoring. Introduced new computer design tools for tailoring designers to work more efficiently.
Assisted studio on artwork, computer renderings of embellishments, sample making and pattern placements of embroidery for in-house and external manufacture. Extensively worked with metal mesh and proposed technical solutions that were incorporated into production. Assisted the atelier with execution of male and female celebrity couture projects.
Applied patternmaking, moulage and draping techniques to interpret the drawings and reference images of Belgian and international fashion clients into toiles and production-ready patterns. Gained experience working with sustainable and organic manufacturing practices.
Trained by third-generation Italian tailor, Mike Trotta, in bespoke suit making, including various hand sewing techniques (buttonholes, basting, padding). Under close guidance, led fit sessions and completed complex and highly precise alterations on bridge and designer RTW jackets, trousers and shirts. Recruited by Saks Fifth Avenue to create and present a fabric education training to all store stylists in Cincinnati location.
