In Zara I learnt the skills for stockroom tills and shopfloor, Zara keep a very tight and clean fasted paced environment so time management was very important and clean and tidy on the shop floor was to always be up to standards which I was able to meet along with the stocking and restocking.
The perfume shop is a very small enclosed store meaning you have to work at a very fast pace making sure you meet every individuals separate needs. You must really analyse the shop knowing exactly where everything is so your not wasting time trying to find a perfume in the shop. You must really keep a positive energy so people you approach would feel comfortable enough to explain what perfume they need and why.
Retail assistant (Wilkos) – part time working in wilkos means making sure everything is fit and ready to the customers standards and being able to work in a fast paced environment with a smile on your face. i had to restock and pull forward in a very short amount of time meaning that time management was really important for this job.
I was set on a two week work experience at boots for business studies. In boots I was asked to restock shelves and pull forward. Working in boots means making sure you have a can-do attitude and making sure you are selling the best products in the store
Khyla was a great asset to the role, she was able to be at hand all the time. She listened to instructions well and also had great attendance rate and punctuality. We was saddened she moved on as she was a very good light for our store. I hope whether she goes next they will appreciate Khyla like we did.
