Slaughter & May

Participated in a 4-day course that taught me the role a lawyer plays as a business adviser to clients and specific methods to identify key concepts in corporate meetings. This course taught me how to prioritise key information and present it in a compelling way. Also was shown how to review emails and identify any issues the client should be aware of before meetings further developing my problem-solving skills. This role also highlighted the importance of letter writing skills and communicating information effectively.

Front of House
May ‘25 - Jul ‘25
Soho Theatre

Worked Front of House of Soho Theatre, welcomed guests into the theatre and worked the till for individuals wanting to purchase tickets. This helped develop my confidence and my people-skills allowing me to become more friendly and welcoming towards customers. This role helped further develop my problem-solving skills by discreetly solving issues that occurred throughout the workday. Also detecting cues as to when a customer needs help or needs advice was another valuable skill I developed.

Organised meals and transport to the first checkpoint from home. Resilience through all throughout the 3 days of endless walking and camping. Showcased excellent leadership skills when faced with challenges of navigating the English countryside. Maintained a unique level of determination as we embarked on our tiring and treacherous journey towards our campsite. Uses teamwork to build the tent we would sleep in for the night.

Leadership Course

Planned and organised PE lessons for year 4s of Handsworth Primary School. Showcased leadership when getting the children to participate in games the did not particularly enjoy, however using communication and persuasion skills I managed to convince them otherwise. Also, developed my problem solving skills when me and my partner were faced with a challenge that didn't have a quick and easy solution. Additionally, I illustrated my creative skills when planning lessons which were thoroughly enjoyed by students.
