I bring over 10 years of international experience across the textile and apparel industry, working with product development, supply chains, testing, certification, digitalization and regulatory requirements. Having worked with brands, and suppliers across Europe, Asia and Brazil, I understand both the technical side of the industry and the importance of building strong relationships across cultures. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Circular Innovation & Sustainability, building on my industry experience to focus on circular economy, decarbonization and more sustainable value chains.

Student tutor with the project GLOBUS from Hochschule Niederrhein to support and guide Erasmus and regular students from abroad with their first steps in Germany. I was responsible for communication via E-mail, attending to meetings in German and English as well as for planning and organizing events to connect students with students. I created flyers in English and German to promote the events at the university. The development of creative ideas for migration from presential to digital events was one of the challenges of our team. I also collaborate collecting feedback and recommendations from students for development within the project. Empathy and the ability to understand the perspective of other cultures background were the strengths I developed the most.
This was my first work experience as a part-time job in Germany. I had the opportunity to take a closer look at the demand of the customers in the market. As part of the sales associate team I was responsible for advising and supporting the customers, ensuring excellent customer experiences, restocking, and contributing to the success of the store in general. I could improve my German skills and further increase my knowledge of international fashion retail.

As Junior Product Developer, along with the women’s wear department, I took part in workshops on market and trends research to develop Wöllner collection concepts. My main role consisted of the development of knitwear and denim lines for the woman’s wear department - four annual collections with a mix of 200 products. The development process covered from sketch, with technical drawings to the seal before manufacturing. Choosing and approving materials, colors, prototype fitting and pricing according to the budget were also part of the process. Attending to fashion events and travelling to visit suppliers, I had the exciting opportunity to build close relationship with our suppliers. By working in a medium size company, I was able to work closely with design department contributing to the development graphic artworks for t-shits. I also participated in sales meetings together brand management team and buying department to discuss and analyze sales reports and strategies. The presentation of the concepts of the collections to the sales assistants was also one of the activities I performed. I was responsible for product’s negotiation with our suppliers to meet budgets, and expectations through the design, delivering beautiful and creative products. I have also developed a heightened understanding of fashion business and commercial expertise.
I continued with the responsibilities of the previous position (student apprentice) with full-time contract and began to contribute to the collection development of knitwear and jeans products. As an assistant, I also took part in activities such as production of look books and e-commerce photo shooting.
During my time as a student apprentice and fitting model I was responsible for wearing the garment for fitting, approval and sealing before manufacturing. I afterwards checked whether product samples met the quality requirements to be distributed to the stores. This function was done in collaboration with the product manager and designers of the woman’s wear department. I was also personal assistant to the fashion designers and responsible for the input of products in the management software (Linx and Interface). I could greatly improve my understanding of the interconnection that exists between the designer and the pattern cutter in transforming innovative design ideas into read-made garments.
