Creating/visualising an idea and producing a design by hand •Producing patterns, toiles and technical specifications for designs •Sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments •Developing a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervising the making up of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations •Measure customers to get measurements for garments •Negotiating with customers and suppliers •Managing marketing, finances and other business activities

Making sure that students are following the health and safety procedure •Keeping all paths and fire exits clear •Tidying up the studios in the end of shift •Ensuring all electricity is of in the end of the shift
