As a volunteer in the nursery setting, I assisted staff with day-to-day tasks, including supervising children during play, helping with snack preparation, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. I developed strong communication skills while engaging with young children and worked collaboratively with the team to ensure a safe, nurturing space for early learning.
At Hyderi Islamic Centre, I support a group of children aged 4-11 during evening sessions parallel to main programmes. My responsibilities include ensuring their safety and comfort, providing snacks and drinks, and attending to individual needs with care and attentiveness. This role strengthened my ability to manage responsibility, remain calm in busy environments, and build trust with children and their families.
