Costume elaborations for Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca and Turandot for Festival of Caracalla 2024
As a costume elaborator at Teatro del Opera for "The Nutcracker," my role was to infuse the fantastical world of the ballet with life through intricate costume design. Collaborating closely with the costume designer, I interpreted their vision and meticulously crafted and embellished costumes to reflect the characters' personalities and the production's aesthetic. Attention to detail was paramount as I worked with various fabrics, textures, and accessories to ensure each costume enhanced the storytelling on stage. My creativity and technical skill contributed to the magic of this beloved holiday classic, making every performance memorable.
During the Costume Assistant Internship at Teatro dell'Opera in Roma, I supported the costume department in various tasks related to theatrical productions. Responsibilities included assisting with dyeing fabrics to achieve specific colors, constructing tutus, and modifying designs as needed. Additionally, I worked as a dresser during performances, ensuring quick costume changes and maintaining their condition.
