To own the journey of all raw material trim from research through to production. Managing team and facilitating development of RM across all departments. Develop, Manage and evolve effective & efficient procurement Strategies for Hardware and Trim achieving and exceeding functional quality standards, through a strong and competent supplier base and strategically sound relationships. After gaining experience in the Headoffice, I was lucky to secure a role in the Jaeger Flagship store on Regent Street. It was a great to see the designs on paper and fittings transpire to the shop floor and view first hand opinions of customers. I made great progress, learning first hand retail knowledge, helping customers and using the till. I continued to support the retail team working weekends while in my final year degree and continued after graduation, working weekends and Bank holidays.
3rd year Industrial Placement, at Jaeger, for the BA (Hons) course. It gave me the opportunity to work with Designers Jeanette Todd and Nicola Heywood. I had first hand experience of a Womenswear design studio, launching sketches with factories and updating all visual boards to track number of styles across the different fabrics. I also worked on a project analysing the development and production of Knitwear in UK at their main factory in Belper.
Sara has an extensive and exceptionally clear understanding of product development. She is highly knowledgeable, extremely well prepared, and consistently brings a sharp, structured approach to her work. Her product folders are truly exemplary — impeccably organised, detailed, and methodical. I worked with Sara both at Burberry and at Caramel, and throughout that time we built a relationship based on trust, respect, and close collaboration. I’ve worked with Sara twice- at Burberry and Ted Baker. In those roles she was a valuable support to the design team and the entire product development to the production process.
