For Salvatore Ferragamo Studio Hangar is a consultancy support for creative research , studies the development of products in the leather industry of accessories . I follow the progress of activities from design to the finished product collection.
As of 2008 and until today, I collaborate in Salvatore Ferragamo, as a Senior Designer for handbags and luggage, both unisex and men’s, proposing concepts and ideas for collection development. I coordinate all activities of research and development of models, transmit input to producers of all materials and also put forward creative to the design team, and examine, revise or approve their proposals as necessary.
In 2005 I collaborated with the Bruno Magli creative team as Design Leader of leather accessories for the men’s-women’s collections: In addition to projecting and graphically designing the assigned concepts, I coordinated the progress of the executive phases together with the suppliers, in order to optimize the product in relation to the product placement and positioning in respect of price ranges.

In the same year, Nazareno Gabrielli S.p.a. (Faber Factor S.p.a. Merloni Group) entrusted me with the role of raising and identifying the trade positioning; as Art-Director I coordinated every phase of the creative and technical development, giving new human and technological resources to the different product areas concerning the Group. As Project-Product Accessories Consultant for Calvin Klein New York, I worked on the coordination of the creative development of the men’s - women’s collection.
In 1999 I collaborated closely with the Dainese S.p.a. as Art Director of the Total Design Group to coordinate both the projects’ office staff and the external consultants, from the Design Brief Definition (clothing, motorcycle accessories and leather accessories) to the Presentation of the Collections.
In 2002 I worked in collaboration with Vestebene Group S.p.a. to identify the image of the leather collection of the trademark Caractere.
The Daimler-Benz Advanced Design Italy expressed a pleasant and unexpected interest in me due to my experience the fashion world. I was contacted and engaged as a Project Consultant for the cockpit interiors of the Class S models – CLK GIORGIO ARMANI.
Towards the end of the 90's, I realized for Piquadro the first concept product: "Corner", a professional line which started up their brand identity and is ever evident today. That was the beginning of a long and fruitful cooperation.

The precious experience acquired here added to my portfolio, both in human and in technological terms. I started an exciting and challenging experience at G.V. in 1996. My responsibilities included the coordination of the creative team for the development of men’s and women’s accessories for the G. Versace, Versus and Istante collections (leather goods, footwear, glasses, foulards, ties, objects for internal spaces) as consultant for Product design of accessories directly under Mr. Gianni Versace’s direction. Transmitting input and supporting the style-office during the technical definition of the project. I had the delicate task of streamlining and speeding up the design and tweaking phase, giving precise instructions to obtain an industrialized and treated product, through continuous exchanges, information and supervision with the license holders and with the external producers.
The year 1993 represented my turning point toward the Fashion Companies: the Gilmar Div. Ind. Spa put the coordination of style of the Iceberg Accessories into my hands; It was my job to develop and find a more coherent image with the world that the trademark represented. This experience put me into a business culture dominated by speed and by the continuous changes to improve with innovative concepts. For this reason it was necessary to learn how to monitor the market, to find alternative producing sources, to experiment with new materials. All of this made possible through travelling, cultural enrichment and collaborating with designers such as Marc Jacobs.
In1993 I started to cooperate with Samsonite Italy a fruitful experience at international level , thanks to a close and constant cooperation with the other Samsonite design centres located around the world. I created and developed new products for Samsonite Italy, such as “Softside” travel luggage and professional lines.
The curiosity to develop new technologies and more innovative designs in the leather world helped me to be employed as the manager of the research and development project office at Mandarina Duck in 1989. Here I studied and accrued the general idea of the company to satisfy the consumer about the planning as a capillary business research and about the coherency to recognize the trade. So I finds a new way to conceive the project, from its inception to its definition, thanks to the experimentation of new alternative technologies that conceive a high industrialized product. At this time I worked on the set enlargement of the Alpha Duck, Tank line and contributed to the Dune line development.
at Nazareno Gabrielli - September 1986 – October 1989 (3 years 2 months) In ’86 my debut in Nazareno Gabrielli was as a Graphic Designer. This allowed me to use my innate creativity in the industrial world through my knowledge of printing methods (paper – silk – leather). I became Manager of the Italian/Overseas Promotional Goods Area, and designed accessories (foulard, ties, umbrellas) for Alisarda, Aeroporti di Roma, Fiat, Ford, Alfa Romeo, Piaggio and Piguet. Later, the architects Bob and Ornella Noorda, who at that moment were art directors of N.G., became important examples for him in those years because they immersed me in the cultural reality of industrial design with the role of supporter for the progress of their projects.
