Orchesa is a jewelry studio based in Sweden creating fine jewelry collections for companies worldwide and one-of-a-kind pieces for private clients.
Designing jewelry collections within the brand's platforms and commerce platforms according to inspiration and seasonal briefs from the Michael Kors Creative Director and Michael Kors. As a designer I was responsible for concept development, creating and presenting design presentations, creating technical packs for vendors, managing the product lifecycle, and approving final samples. I also worked closely with interns and assistant designers to ensure their projects were being completed to the standard of the Creative Director. I worked closely with product development, at times making trips to suppliers to oversee development- as well as collaborating with the brand to ensure the goals for the brand's opportunities were being met.
Designing primarily within Robert Lee Morris Collection, while also supporting the Designer’s RLM Soho line as well as the RLM QVC line. Designing into the RLM Collection based on the Artist’s archival works as well as closely collaborating with Robert to expand on his sketches and story-lines. Worked closely with expert in-house metal smith to develop full pieces and components while sourcing gems and natural materials.
Selected from the SCAD jewelry department to collaborate with the company creatives in North Carolina. Communicated over phone and e-mail to discuss designs and details based on the brand’s idea of the concept: Holiday Glamour. The capsule was put into production and sold at boutiques the following Holiday Season.
Assisted Creative Director in developing a concept/prototype neckpiece for Judith Leiber utilizing custom Swarovski stones. Created Tech Packs for designs within the Jay Strongwater home décor line. Designed a series of charms for Jay Strongwater Jewelry as well as small picture frames.
