During the summer sales period coinciding with the Paris Olympics, I worked as a sales associate in a fast-paced, high-traffic retail environment. In this role I increased customer engagement by recommending sales and new collection merchandise while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere to help reduce perceived wait times and increase customer satisfaction despite high volumes of foot traffic. This role also strengthened my professional French language skills, as I regularly interacted with French-speaking clientele, enhancing my fluency and confidence.
During the 2023 summer period I worked as a server and bartender at Zanzibar Beach Club and Restaurant, excelling in a high-volume tourist environment. I enhanced customer service skills, managed multiple tables, and juggled tasks like taking orders and preparing drinks, demonstrating efficiency and adaptability in a fast-paced setting. This experience sharpened my customer service skills and vetted a strong sensitivity to guest needs.
During Paris Men's Fashion Week, I assisted Feng Chen Wang and her team in various capacities, including casting coordination, garment preparation, and showroom setup. Collaborating closely with the brand’s PR manager, I managed tasks such as communicating with influencers and delivering garments for the runway show. This role honed my time management, adaptability, and communication skills as I thrived in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. The experience also offered invaluable insights into fashion PR and runway production, deepening my appreciation for the industry’s collaborative nature.
I interned at a startup consumer experience company, working alongside the founder and CEO to develop a curriculum for improving corporate customer experience. I contributed to early-stage digital design, curriculum application, and marketing efforts over a period of 6 weeks. Gained first hand exposure to the dynamic processes of a startup, observing how companies build reputations and enter competitive markets.
