I have spent 4 years studying Music Technology and TV and Film- I have achieved distinctions in both of these subjects. I have done paid work experience as a Production Assistant. I currently work for Cancer Research as a Marketplace Assistant where I photograph and list items onto an online marketplace to raise money for the charity.
I currently work as an Online Marketplace Assistant at CRUK. My day to day tasks differ depending on where I am working. Most days I will photograph and create accurate descriptions of varying types of items, from Homeware, electronics, and vintage items, to clothing, accessories, and shoes. I check over these items for any wear and provide details to ensure customers are aware of exactly what they are receiving. I also work online as a ‘lister’ wherein I take the processed stock which has been photographed and upload it to the eBay marketplace. I double check all descriptions and photographs to be sure we provide correct information and edit any writing for spelling mistakes or discrepancies. I also write eye catching titles specified for different target audiences using SEO and analytics, being sure to add words that will garner the most attention on eBay as the site is already full of fantastic items! I have also taken part in other aspects of this job every so often, such as dispatching and packing items, training new staff, and helping with part of the listing process by double checking new starters work to provide the best possible outcome.
