clark is very conceptual and professional. great creative mind - and excellent team contributor. had a great experience working together - and look forward to a future opportunity to have him involved in a project.
Clark Sabbat has been a dear friend and fashion confidant for over 30 years. Our meeting in 1993 set the stage for our shared love of vintage and design, and has grown and evolved ever since. At What Goes Around Comes Around, we had the opportunity of hiring Clark for a Design Director role to help spearhead our branded clothing line and reconstructing of vintage clothing as an addendum to the collection. It was a natural fit as Clark had the common passion and knowledge of the history of fashion and vintage, paired with a vision of the future. His meticulous skill set of draping fabric on form was an eye opening craft, watching silhouettes come to life on the spot. To love what one does is a foundation that I believe is the key ingredient to success, which also drives one to continue that dedication of time and integrity in their work. Clark for sure possesses these qualities, which was the case during our time of collaboration. It was an exciting moment and a highlight to share when he created 7 of the same looks for 7 models and we positioned them outside of various major fashion shows(old school Guerrilla marketing style) which caught huge attention from the press and fashion crowds at the shows. Clark's ability to see where fashion is going yet maintain a timeless classic aesthetic is a fine balance that is not easy to strike. His worldly experience of travel and seeing the different cultural influences is a great asset and blend for his creations. He possesses a great work ethic in the midst of being a great father, partner and friend to those who know and love him. A true talent in fashion and in life.
