Fashion Director & Luxury Womenswear Designer | Brand Innovator | Creative Strategist With a deep passion for luxury womenswear and lifestyle design, I bring over 20 years of experience driving creative excellence and brand innovation within the high-end fashion industry. As a leader, problem-solver, and mentor, I am committed to pushing boundaries in design and branding while maintaining a strong focus on financial growth and business development. As a Fashion Director with extensive experience in womenswear and leather goods - A personal focus has been to develop design through each stage from concept to execution and craftsmanship leading to a focus on luxury brand development, with international experience gained by directing design teams in Europe and beyond at Gucci, Karl Lagerfeld. Leveraging this extensive knowledge and experience working with these different international markets in the luxury sector I worked on several new brand developments, leading product, brand direction and merchandising. As fashion director I have shown in Paris, Milan fashion week independently and within the luxury groups

Worked directly with the KARL LAGERFELD President in defning brand direction and setting the brand DNA across all product. Design and identifcation of new product categories across the brand. And initially tasked with developing a brand concept for a proposed new LAGERFELD womenswear line. Encompassing the submission of sketches, fabric research with selection and colour for development. Overall design of capsule collections as guidance for further development by design teams. Submission of sketches, fabric and colour concepts for development by external licensee FD in Germany, and Lagerfeld design studio in Paris for the menswear LAGERFELD line.

Heritage and DNA defnition - Ensured that the Company's high-end luxury expectations were met through superior workmanship and detailing. Responsible for the overall work process for two luxury women's- and mens RTW collections per year, including: initial conceptualisation, mood board development and presentation, sketching, prototype development, collection building and merchandising, and styling of a catwalk presentation Responsible for fabric and colour selection, print development and conception, knitwear development and yarn/colour selection. Exotic skin selection & use. Embroidery design, development & management of external production processes. Initiated and conceptualised collaboration with Swarovski. Selection and use of semi precious stones and conceptualised design on there use within the RTW collections. Managed and mentored an international production team based in Milan, as well as a design team, based in London. Successfully initiated brand development of RTW to a respected and news worthy/editorial standard presenting runway shows during LONDON FASHION WEEK.

https://www.gucci.com Working under Gucci creative director, Tom Ford and alongside Christopher Bailey - provided design into the production of fve high fashion luxury collections (two runway shows and three selling collections - including a cruise collection) a year. Involved in all facets: from design and sketching, through research and development to providing input on the ftting of samples, through to the fnal edit in the showroom and providing assistance and problem solving in the ftting of the fnal production samples. Responsible for design and hand-of of collection sketches, covering all aspects of the collection: outerwear, tailoring, daywear, evening wear, leather pieces and swimwear. Conducted international design research/sourcing, visited major fashion fairs and presented research and direction proposals for design, colour, print and embellishment, as well as fabric, and leather. Experience with high-end luxury product execution with an emphasis on brand development, and extensive expertise gained in fabrication/ leather product development. Achieved design recognition within international fashion publications.
