Learning to teach German independently for the first time in an English school setting. I could teach French as well. My PCM wrote in his final evaluation that I have been a "natural" during my time working in the school, getting to know all staff, also offering French Lessons to other teachers eager to learn on the top.

In parallel with my work as a transcreator, copywriter and tutor/teacher I started to write a photobook about Brexit which first materialised in the photo exhibition called "Cité Particulière" whose opening should have been the 20th March 2020 in Mantes-la Jolie, France. The project has been developed in tigh collaboration with the artist and director Saïd Bahij, founder of the Artist Collective Lycaon. Part of this exhibition is actually shown in "L'Office du Tourisme du Val Fourré" by the collective Lycaon at Musée de l'Hôtel Dieu in Mantes-la-Jolie, France. The work includes the whole range of transcreation and editing work from highly technical translations to the creation of marketing texts. I worked 5 years (2010-2015) on a long term project in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Office of Culture as a freelance French editor and German->French translator for a collection of books about Swiss Architecture and Cultural Heritage. I translated articles about architecture for professors at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. I translated (German->French) PR documents for the Swiss Federal Office of Health. I wrote (in French) a monthly column in the Swiss women magazine Profil Mag for 1 year. I transcreated articles (German->French) for the Swiss Migros Magazine. I created the texts for the campaign (in French) of the Labour party in Switzerland. I created the slogans for the French Aids campaign of the Swiss Federal Office of Health. I created (in French) and transcreated (German/English->French) marketing campaigns for diverse luxury brands (Tag Heuer; Arnold and Son), Swiss luxury retailers like Globus and other Swiss retailers like Kuoni, TUI, Migros, Coop, etc.

The German-speaking Swiss secondary school and Sixth Form (Kantonsschule) let me lead all classes (for 12-19 years) on my own after we had assessed the level of the students and the different targets. My contract was originally for 1 school year but the school asked me to stay longer.

Sandra von Lucius worked as a French language editor for the Swiss Federal Inventory of Sites of Architectural and Cultural Value (ISOS). Her work was always characterised by great dedication, thoroughness and efficiency. She brought the texts up to publication standard. Thanks to her friendly manner, her ability to work as part of a team and her punctual delivery of assignments, she was a key member of the publication team.
