MINISO

During a two – week temporary paid work experience at Miniso Romford, I played a key role in supporting the store opening by unpacking, categorising and organising stock into sections such as cutlery and electronics to ensure efficient store setup. On opening day, starting at 10 AM, I helped create a festive atmosphere by blowing up and handing out balloons to customers that are waiting in a long queue for the store's noon opening. I engaged with customers by warmly greeting them to the store entrance and offering baskets to enhance their shopping experience. During subsequent shifts after the opening, I continued to engage with children by blowing up balloons, attaching them to a stick and handling them out to children in the store to create a friendly and welcoming environment. Also, I maintained the shop floor by keeping stock neat, organised and fully replenished. I provided personalised product recommendations especially perfumes which contributed to increased sales. Additionally, I operated the till and handled customer transactions, demonstrating strong sales and cash handling skills. This experience enhanced my customer service abilities, teamwork and confidence in a fast-paced retail environment.
