She incorporates ethics and sustainability into all aspects of her designs, to foster a new style that is unique and sets her apart. Maya has investigated strategic methods of design, research, production, and construction to facilitate a sustainable design practice. Mayas work within her course and collaboration with industry partners has been supported by her experience in luxury retail .These experiences have enabled her to further develop her understanding of the luxury and bespoke markets which have influenced the way I approach design. Mayas work within different areas of luxury retail has provided her with the ability to manage multiple projects, implement new management systems, client development, branding, garment styling and communication skills. Thus, this she have developed a sense of how to adjust my designs for brands and their market level. Maya has incessantly extended herself within each project to incorporate new innovative methods of construction to deepen and extend her knowledge of garment production. Her graduate collection harnesses industry deadstock into couture garments to illustrate the viability of experimental and alternative design methods. Mayas collection was based upon the form of vintage underpinnings and structural garments offset by the vivid colours of experimental photography.
