Marios Alexandrou

Senior Menswear Designer & Consultant building clear, commercially strong wardrobe systems for premium brands
About

Menswear designer and design consultant specialising in brand building, product architecture and wardrobe-driven product systems. I focus on material quality, fit and long-term product relevance, helping contemporary and luxury brands translate identity into clear, commercially strong collections. My work centres on building coherent product frameworks, defining category direction and creating structured wardrobe systems rather than isolated pieces. I bring a strong understanding of materials, construction and range discipline, balancing creative sensitivity with commercial clarity. I work closely with factories and development partners across Europe and Asia, with strong manufacturing partnerships in Portugal. My approach connects design, material development and production, supporting brands from concept through execution with precision and consistency. Over the years I have led product development and category strategy across global markets, improving sell-through through clearer product structure, supporting revenue growth through commercially grounded design, and bringing clarity to product for both teams and customers. Calm, methodical and reliable in execution, I am driven by clarity, structure and meaning in product. Available for consulting, senior design roles and brand collaborations.

Self employed

I support contemporary and premium brands in building clear product architecture, from concept through to production execution. My work bridges creative direction with technical feasibility, ensuring that collections are not only visually strong but structurally coherent and scalable. I collaborate closely with a vertically integrated Portuguese development and production partner with over 20 years of expertise. Through this relationship, I am able to support brands across consultancy, sourcing, sampling validation, production monitoring and shipment coordination, ensuring that design intent translates accurately into final product. Alongside manufacturing, I maintain direct relationships with fabric mills across Italy, France, Japan and broader Europe, as well as trusted partners in Asia. This allows me to secure the right yarns, textiles and finishes aligned with brand positioning, price architecture and quality expectations. I also work closely with trim suppliers and technical manufacturers to ensure construction integrity and refined detailing. As a consultant, I offer more than design. I provide structured product frameworks, category clarity, supplier alignment and presentation strategy, helping brands move from aesthetic vision to operational reality with discipline and confidence.
