My Drapers Den Journey: Balancing Marketing and HR Leadership Participating in Drapers Den was a transformative experience, challenging me to lead effectively in two pivotal roles. As Marketing Director, I crafted impactful campaigns, translating complex ideas into compelling narratives that resonated with our audience and showcased our project’s strengths. My efforts focused on creative storytelling and data-driven strategies to ensure maximum engagement. Simultaneously, as HR Lead, I prioritised fostering team morale and collaboration. I established clear communication channels, resolved conflicts, and aligned individual goals with team objectives, ensuring everyone felt valued and motivated. Balancing these roles taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of strategic yet empathetic leadership. Drapers Den wasn’t just a competition; it was a journey of growth, sharpening skills I’ll carry into future endeavours.
During my time at The Entertainer, I developed strong customer service and retail skills, ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. I gained hands-on experience with stock management, visual merchandising, and sales techniques, contributing to achieving store targets and enhancing product displays. Collaborating with a diverse team, I honed my communication and problem-solving abilities, often addressing customer queries and resolving issues efficiently. This role also allowed me to build resilience, adaptability, and a strong work ethic, which I carry into all professional endeavors.
My role as a sales assistant in footasylum included many responsibilities, i had to tend to customer needs, whether that's product knowledge, or assisting in a sale. More roles included standards of dierent sections of the store eg. apparel, footwear, accessories, Whilst also maintaining the section after having done standards. I also had to make sure the place was clean and safe, if not I had to clean and take out the trash and do safety measures. I had to uphold company standards in all areas from loss prevention to health and safety, Support the store team with positive approach to merchandising and housekeeping tasks.
