I am a hard-working person who adapts very readily to change and works well in a fast-paced work environment. I started working with BeReal. as a freelance localization manager and eventually joined the team in a permanent position and joined the Customer Operations team. As a freelancer, I managed my working schedule and took steps to develop my skills into something that could be moulded to suit different clients. This has helped me further improve my skills in the localization industry and take on new roles. Since joining Customer Operations with BeReal. I was introduced to many new platforms and joined a small team to help and support the app users. During my time I have focused on building skills and gaining experience. For me, it is important to have the time to perfect my projects, I am very result-focused and dedicate much of my time and energy to producing high-quality work. I strive for excellence and am not satisfied with the bare minimum; I gain great satisfaction from seeing every task I undertake to a successful conclusion. I learn fastest through a practical approach and naturally learn by doing while applying my knowledge and experience to new tasks. I can handle several projects at the same time and enjoy the variety this brings to my working life. I am very used to independent working, having always had the flexibility to work either in an office environment or alone in a home office.

I first began working with BeReal as a Localization Project Manager, at this time BeReal had no localization process, and I was therefore responsible for creating and managing this process from start to end. This involved much communication with the different teams as well as flexibility and teamwork to find the best solution for all. I was then asked to join the Customer Operations team, this introduced me to many new platforms and offered me the chance to support and care for our users. This was a new role for me and became something I really enjoyed, I found it very fulfilling when I could solve users’ problems or help create new processes to care for our users. My time at BeReal taught me more than I had anticipated, I gained skills that will benefit me long into the future. I'm grateful to have been part of something so impactful as BeReal.

I worked with the social app Zenly as part of the localization team. My primary tasks were creating projects for translation, managing updates of current translations, and ensuring everything functions as expected. As Zenly evolved their localization process I was the sole creator of user guides for both internal and external use, this included in-depth guides and quick start tips to help colleagues and vendors work with Zenly. This was my first experience working in a freelance position and taught me a lot about managing my own time, organizing my contacts and ensuring I kept up to date with anything relevant to my industry.

My main tasks involved email communication, project creation and organization. I communicated daily with linguists and clients all over the world, which involved introducing them to our processes, drafting estimates and gathering information needed for successful localization. I also learnt to assess their files and provide advice on how best to utilise their localizations as well as identify potential issues before they occur. While working as part of a small team, I found that my role went beyond project management as I also engaged in vendor and account management to ensure a comfortable and professional experience for all. My role gave me a lot of independence but also provided team support and guidance from those around me.
