Volunteering at my local mosque gave me the chance to contribute meaningfully to my community while developing valuable personal and professional skills. I was involved in a variety of activities, such as helping organize events, setting up for Friday prayers, distributing food during Ramadan, and supporting youth programs. Through this experience, I learned how to work collaboratively with people of all ages and backgrounds. It taught me the importance of servant leadership, where helping others comes before personal gain. I also improved my organization and time management skills, especially when helping coordinate events or manage crowds during busy times like Eid. This role helped me become more empathetic and community-minded, reinforcing values like patience, humility, and responsibility. Whether I was guiding someone new to the mosque or assisting elders, I learned to communicate respectfully and clearly skills that translate well into any professional environment. Volunteering at the mosque didn't just deepen my faith it also helped me grow as a person and a leader.

Tutored kids from primary school for SATS did this for free for 3 days a week allowing me to build confidence and exceptional organisation.worked with students of different ages and learning styles, which taught me how to adapt my approach, simplify complex topics, and explain ideas clearly. This strengthened my verbal communication, patience, and ability to listen actively skills that are valuable in any professional setting. Beyond academics, tutoring also improved my empathy and emotional intelligence. I learned to build trust, motivate students who were struggling, and celebrate their progress no matter how small. It was rewarding to see how consistent support could boost someone's confidence, which in turn boosted mine.Finally, tutoring taught me how to manage my time effectively, prepare structured lesson plans, and take responsibility for someone else's learning. These experiences helped shape me into a more organized, reliable, and thoughtful team player.
