I was a ward helper volunteer, my responsibility was to provide companionship to service users and ensuring that their safety is maintained. I take notes and have developed observational skills as I would need to identify individuals who are unable to ask for help. In addition, I have developed an excellent communication, as I would ask questions towards my volunteer manager or ask help from nurses for certain assistance that I cannot provide service users. I have also initiative to help people by checking on them and having notes of certain unusual behaviors that they might have.
