As I was a key worker it was crucial for me to give great customer service during a pandemic as the moral was low. Day-to-day require, working on the tills and disrupting stock.
My most recent job I took on the role of a Customer Assistant throughout summer 2019 which entailed working on the tills, disrupting stock and liaising with customers. Although I worked at M&S for a short period I feel as though I gained many transferable skills such as: increase in confidence when communicating with customers, how to work a till and the importance of the customer. Since working in retail I have also realised the importance of team work and asking for help/guidance when you're unsure.
My waitressing role entailed serving food to customers and clearing tables ensuring they're presentable for the next customers. I had to ensure that all customers were satisfied with their food and that all neir demands were met. I also working behind the bar which involved serving alcoholic beverages and I was barista trained. This job allowed me to understand the importance of customer satisfaction and how to work effectively and efficiently in a team.
From February 2017 until August 2017 I worked at Clarks shoe store in Golden Square, Warrington. This entailed serving a customer shoes and using positive facts about the shoe to make a sale. Due to a high demand for Clarks shoes especially over the summer period, this meant that I had to adapt to working in a fast past environment which will help me in future jobs. From working at Clarks, I also furthered my experience with different types of customers- including children which allowed me to increase my patience levels with tricky customers.
I have worked at the Park Royal hotel in banqueting and events on a casual contract and had been from July 2015 to December 2016. I have waitressed at many events such as: weddings, proms, charity balls and birthday parties. When working at the Park Royal I have gained many skills such as: how to work well in a team, the importance of customer satisfaction, how to communicate with customers of all ages and how serve all different types of food quickly and efficiently. Also I have worked in the leisure section of the hotel. This entailed serving customers 1 to 1 , working the till and taking orders which have significantly improved my confidence when interacting with the customers.
I had a really lovely organic experience with working with Mackenzie. I also asked her to join a store I managed named Hunza G, unfortunately she wasn’t available.
