I am a student at the Fashion Pattern Cutting course at the University of the Arts of London. Previously I studied for five years at the Liceo Artistico A. Volta F. Fellini in Riccione where I acquired basic knowledge and experience in the field of fashion, in particular as regards design, the creation of patterns, both hand-drawn and digitally with LECTRA and Clo, and finally the complete process regarding the creation of bespoke garments. The part of fashion that makes me most enthusiastic is putting myself on the line to make clothes that start from an idea and then materialize worn by someone in such a way as to be able to see the results of a long process. During the last few years I have also improved my use of Photoshop, Illustrator and especially Procreate. I had the opportunity to participate in multiple experiences that were divided between high school, university and companies that prepared me to work under pressure and often with immediate deadlines both as part of a team and alone.
During my internship at Viktor&Rolf, I had the incredible opportunity to contribute to the renowned haute couture atelier in crafting exquisite garments for the Paris Fashion Week 2023. My role involved assisting the talented team in various aspects of the creative and production process, gaining invaluable insights into the world of high fashion and couture craftsmanship. In the realm of haute couture, precision and artistry are paramount. My responsibilities encompassed: Haute Couture Craftsmanship: I delved into the art of haute couture craftsmanship, honing skills such as intricate hand-sewing, embroidery, and delicate fabric manipulation. Creative Collaboration: Working alongside the atelier's creative team was an enriching experience. I actively participated in brainstorming sessions, contributed innovative ideas, and played a role in translating concepts into awe-inspiring couture pieces. Pattern Making and Draping: To create couture garments that marry form and function seamlessly, I focused on refining my skills in pattern making and draping. Fabric Selection and Couture Techniques: My internship exposed me to the intricacies of fabric selection and the application of advanced couture techniques. This included mastering intricate beadwork, exquisite appliqué, and the art of hand-finishing. Fashion Show Preparation: As part of the team, I contributed to the meticulous preparation for Paris Fashion Week 2023. This encompassed fittings, alterations, and the coordinated execution of the final runway presentation. Quality Control and Attention to Detail: Ensuring that each garment met Viktor&Rolf's exacting standards was non-negotiable. My internship at Viktor&Rolf was a transformative experience that deepened my appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship inherent in haute couture. It provided me with a unique vantage point into the creative process, from conceptualization to realization, and the unwavering pursuit of excellence that defines this industry.
During my internship at Harris Reed, I had the extraordinary opportunity to contribute to the creation of garments for his September 2022 collection. This experience also involved working on exclusive custom commissions for iconic artists Harry Styles and Aly&AJ. I collaborated closely with the design team, bringing creative ideas to the table and assisting in the conceptualization and development of unique garments. Our collective efforts aimed to capture the essence of Harris Reed's distinct design vision. This involved meticulous research and procurement to ensure the highest quality and authenticity. My internship allowed me to gain hands-on experience in garment construction. I participated in cutting, sewing, and assembling pieces, paying meticulous attention to detail to maintain the impeccable standards synonymous with the Harris Reed brand. Working on custom commissions for esteemed clients like Harry Styles and Aly&AJ was an incredible highlight. I contributed to the realization of their unique visions, ensuring that each piece was a true representation of their individual style. I played an integral role in quality control, meticulously inspecting garments to ensure they met the exacting standards set by the brand. This commitment to quality was essential to our success in delivering exceptional pieces to both the collection and VIP clients. In the fast-paced fashion industry, adaptability is paramount. I thrived in a collaborative environment, seamlessly integrating into the team, and adapting to evolving project requirements. The privilege of contributing to the September 2022 collection and working on VIP custom commissions for Harry Styles and Aly&AJ was an honor I will always cherish. These experiences have solidified my passion for fashion and my commitment to pursuing a career dedicated to innovation and creativity within the industry.
During the summer break, I had the privilege of working as a high-standard Sales Associate for three fashion brands: Zara, Bershka, and Oysho. In this multifaceted role, I was responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of these fashion boutiques and delivering exceptional customer service. My responsibilities included: Visual Merchandising and Store Organization: I meticulously maintained visual merchandising standards, creating an aesthetically pleasing and organized shopping environment that enhanced the overall customer experience. Customer Engagement and Service: I fostered strong connections with customers by providing personalized assistance and addressing inquiries and needs promptly. This dedication to exceptional service resulted in positive feedback and repeat business. Efficient Point-of-Sale Operations: Proficiently managing the sales register, I facilitated quick and accurate transactions, minimizing customer wait times and contributing to a seamless shopping experience. Team Collaboration: I worked collaboratively with my colleagues to ensure a cohesive work environment. My contributions to the team included sharing insights and strategies for improved customer engagement and sales techniques. Working for these fashion brands was a valuable experience that allowed me to refine my customer service, visual merchandising, and teamwork skills.
