This role of teaching art to young children allowed me to work through many challenges. Though I have almost a decade of caring for children under my belt, this particular age group (5 years old) and taking on the task of walking through a day of teaching art required an immense amount patience and problem solving skills. Positive energy and being quick on my feet were my two saving graces throughout each day. The most important goal is allowing them to experiment with being creative with no boundaries and allowing them the space and time to create.
At Labeca, I created social media graphics and handled general graphic design tasks. My tasks included creating gifs, product illustrations, and layouts for their look book. This position allowed me to work closely with the team as well as doing my tasks on my own showing my skills with both independence and collaboration.
I worked at the New North Press Studio invigilating for the Reverting to Type show.
As a tour guide for the Kensington Art Bus, I rallied together as many people as I could to chat about art! Our retro red bus would tour small galleries and art exhibits in North London.
