I'm a fashion and accessories designer passionate about sustainability in fashion and design, politics, art and digital technologies. I am working on a personal project called Offbeat District, a slow-fashion brand that connects people in my local community through second - hand textiles and upcycling. I have completed an Erasmus+ program in Copenhagen where I had the pleasure to spend a semester at KEA Copenhagen School of Design and Technology in the specialization Sustainable Fashion Tech. This program has thought me new ways of being a sustainable designer for the future. I have graduated from the MSc degree in Design for the Fashion System at Politecnico di Milano while starting an exciting experience at Mabi International as a patternmaker for luxury leather products.
At Mabi (Chanel) my main task is CAD design for industrialisation of luxury leathergood products (LG & SLG). My responsibility is to ensure that products fit the original idea of the creative department, the requests of the client's industrialisation team, as well as are sustainable and functional. I have hands-on experience in selecting the best support materials for a durable product. My job is connected to the prototyping department where we test and develop the designs. Moreover, my job includes communicating the product construction details to suppliers and controlling the pre-production of bags, accessories, and small leather goods to validate the construction process.
Offbeat District is slow-fashion upcycling project focused on repurposing local textile waste donated by the community in my area. I research textile and leather waste to create garments and accessories.
