As the responsible RTW designer at Balmain, my team and I strive to expand and refresh the offering of the product category through new fabrics, fits and signature trim details. It's of importance to me to create effortless, yet intriguing, design concepts and to push the boundaries of expectations surrounding the product categories. I enjoy exposing myself to a variety of experiences and so pull inspiration from numerous elements in order to design products for the future. My experience working with both apparel design and textiles engineering has given me a particular eye for colour, material and finish used in a variety of environments and I am forever looking forward to future innovations. Inspired by all things, traveling and going on adventures is my favourite pastime. I reflect each texture and/or colour experienced when hiking and camping through photography and embroidery. I find capturing such things through both digital and traditional means gives perspective on the similarities and differences between the two mediums.
