Responsible for conducting, consolidating and presenting research to identify community partners; planning, development and execution of pilot activity programs for youth in consultation with management and community stakeholders; researching and creating materials (written and visual) introducing our space to newcomers; assisting with the creation of assessment tools (i.e. surveys); conducting online and in-person outreach to establish contact and cultivate relationships with community partners; creating and implementing a project plan for pilot programming initiatives including a social media strategy for ongoing youth volunteer recruitment and engagement; conducting surveys and compiling results; creating a final report of findings and making recommendations.
Through my work as Youth Outreach and Engagement Coordinator for the Regent Theatre I developed and produced the pilot episode of a podcast series called "Made-in-the-County" which features stories, music and art inspired by Ontario's Prince Edward County region. The podcast aims to provide a platform for people of all backgrounds in the region and give local youth hands-on production and mentorship experience in media. In addition to producing and writing the show, I also composed the opening theme and backing music.
