Achievements and responsibilities: • Cash handling, using an electronic register to process transactions including debit/credit card payments, refunds, redeeming store vouchers, etc. • Shop floor merchandising, laying out clothing lines thematically (leggings, jumpers, t-shirts, etc.) ensuring they were hung on racks in colour, size, style. • Stockroom housekeeping, ensuring clothes and accessories were placed in their designated areas in the stockroom, and picked up any strewn clothes off the floor. • Provided customer service, dealing with a range of queries from customers about stock availability, in-store promotions, opening hours, sizing, etc.
Achievements and responsibilities: • Preparing clients for stylist including washing hair, taking out hair weaves and conditioning hair • Assisted lead hair stylists with sewing in hair weaves, braiding/plaiting, colouring, etc. • Maintained the cleanliness of the shop, sweeping up cut hair off the floor, mopping up any spillages and disinfecting tongs, combs, scissors, etc to prevent scalp infections. • Provision of customer service, making teas & coffee to waiting customers, booked customers in for appointments based on availability of stylists and answered questions about pricing. • Stock inventory, organising products such as shampoos, conditioners, etc; re-ordering any items near depletion to meet the demands of the salon.
