Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory processes. They will manage stock levels, conduct regular audits, and work closely with various departments to ensure smooth operations within our boutique and workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all stock movements in and out of the warehouse and boutique.
- Perform regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures and best practices.
Stock Coordination:
- Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and finished products.
- Monitor stock levels and generate reports to inform purchasing decisions.
Quality Control:
- Ensure all products meet the company’s standards of quality and are stored securely.
- Identify any quality issues and liaise with relevant departments for resolution.
System Management:
- Maintain and update inventory management systems with accurate data entry.
- Utilize software to generate inventory reports and assist in forecasting demand.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Liaise with couriers and manage the logistics of shipping and receiving stock.
- Ensure safe and efficient storage and distribution of all products.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, production, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on inventory-related matters.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., Fishbowl, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the luxury goods or jewelry industry.
- Familiarity with gemological terms and jewelry production processes.
