Summary

As Samples Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the finished sample journey from when the sample arrives in-house to making sure it is in the showroom and correctly tracked through its various journeys.

Your main responsibilities will include liaising with the different departments internally and other ad-hoc teams and be able to track any sample at any time and ensure that samples are where they need to be.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for fashion, loves a hands-on role and relishes inventory management and excel.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, strong communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

-Load the sample collection onto the internal system

-Label the samples with the wider team

-Regular catch-ups with different teams to track and trace the samples

-Knowledge of cancellations, additions, custom-made pieces

-Keep the sample inventory system updated

-Ensure the correct return of samples

-Coordinate samples for trunk-shows, press and marketing requests

-Collate the orders during market with production to ascertain delivery dates

-Validating production launch with the team

-Be an expert on carry-over and seasonal samples

-Manage all samples coming in and out of the business with local couriers

-Coordinate between all the different departments who use the samples

-Responsible for the archiving of old samples

-Weekly Report generation from the global sample system

-Key User of the internal sample tool with regular meetings about updating the system

-Manage 1 person

Profile:

-Existing experience of sample or inventory management

-Can communicate effectively with a wide range of teams

-English and French, Italian a plus

-Ability to quickly learn and adopt the internal sample tool

-Excellent use of Excel and generally tech-savvy

-Organised, can prioritize well, in the detail and can juggle many requests at once

-Can negotiate and be a brand ambassador at all times in the face of challenging requests

-Thrives under pressure and have a sense of urgency

-Interested in learning about a French luxury house and having access to a 360 degree view of how it operates
