Company Overview and Role Summary

Our client is seeking a Global Retail Director to lead the strategy, operations, and performance of its stand-alone retail stores worldwide. This position requires a seasoned retail professional focused on enhancing client experience, achieving KPIs, and driving profitability across multiple locations. The role involves overseeing a diverse team, fostering a high-performance culture, and working cross-functionally with key departments to support brand expansion and the omnichannel vision.

Key Responsibilities


Retail Operations & Performance

  • Oversee daily operations of all global retail stores, ensure exceptional client experiences, and maintain alignment with brand standards.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as average order value (AOV), items per transaction (IPT), store traffic, and conversion rates.
  • Maximize store productivity through data-driven decisions and continuous process improvement.

Expansion & Real Estate Strategy

  • Identify and assess new strategic location opportunities globally in collaboration with the CEO, CFO, and real estate agents.
  • Conduct site visits, negotiate leases, and work with landlords to secure favorable terms.
  • Partner with the legal team on lease agreements and compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the marketing team on event planning, product launches, and promotional strategies.
  • Work with the digital team to drive the omnichannel retail strategy, ensuring seamless client experience across online and offline channels.
  • Coordinate with forecasting and finance teams to develop and manage budgets, P&L, and financial performance goals.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training processes in partnership with HR.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, coaching, and talent development within retail teams.
  • Implement ongoing training and development programs to enhance client service skills and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a retail leadership role, ideally within the beauty or luxury sector, but not exclusively.
  • Strong background in retail operations, sales performance, and client experience management.
  • Ability to analyze KPIs and implement strategies to drive performance.
  • Strategic thinker with robust project management and organizational skills.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and collaborative environment with a global scope.
