An innovative, fast-paced and disruptive start-up in Beauty, part of an international cosmetic Group, is looking for its UK Market Manager. Based in London. Not necessarily coming from the Beauty world, the ideal candidate is an energetic & strategic leader with proven sales, marketing & digital background, with a growth mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit and... a doer.

Known as the ‘new revolution in beauty’, this young skincare brand launched in 2020 is here to conquer the Beauty world with its game-changing personalised technology and sustainably made attractive skin-care products. 

What we are looking for: 

An energetic & strategic leader with proven sales, marketing and digital background, with a growth mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit and... a doer. Backed by an international group, the UK structure is still in its early days but is ready to scale. The business coming almost exclusively from online sales, the candidate must be familiar with the different e-commerce channels, know about B2B and B2C omni-channels strategies as well as brand building and brand activation. 

Reporting to the Global Managing Director, based in Switzerland.

Working with a team of 4 direct reports in the UK: Operations manager, E-Commerce & Paid Media manager, Social Media & Community manager

Access to certain shared services and resources from the group (Finances, Supply Chain, R&D, Legal …)

  

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop a sustainable presence in the country, build up commercial relationships and raise the brand awareness.

• Brand building: translate the brand strategy into an operational plan, focused on growing the UK revenues by scaling the business model locally.

• Boost brand awareness: define and implement disruptive marketing and communication strategies/campaigns with a strong focus on Social Media, Influencer marketing and Traditional PR.

• Definition and implementation of B2B and B2C Omni-channels strategy and roadmap.

• Define & implement the UK pricing and promotional strategy: adjust the pricing strategy and sales plan to work with the cultural high points of the market.

• Monitor the sales and marketing activities and organize optimally the activity of the local team.

• In charge of the budgeting, performance monitoring and good execution of the UK P&L.

  

Important skills for the role:

The candidate must be versatile, possess a varied set of skills (Sales, Marketing, Digital and Communication), and be able to inspire his/her team. An effective communicator, the UK Market Lead will be the company’s main spokesperson for his/her region. The job requires resilience in various areas: you need to be  fast, agile, creative, action and results driven


Requirements

• Real entrepreneur used to work with a short team and in a fast moving organization 

• Strong sense in business development - business acumen and out of the box thinking

• Hands-on experience with on-line and off-line brand management

• Strong knowledge of online marketing, digital media, social media and operational marketing

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Ability to recruit, motivate and monitor performance of a team

• Excellent verbal communication/writing skills (English native)

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Manager/Director/Market lead position
