Prestat Group is a family-owned luxury chocolatier based in London and was founded in 1902 by the inventor of the truffle himself, Antoine Dufour.

Composed of heritage brands such as Prestat, purveyors of fine chocolates to the Royal Family and Rococo Chocolates, an award-winning chocolatier created in 1983 by Chantal Coady O.B.E., we make and sell Britain’s most beloved luxury chocolates.

Following a round of investment, Prestat Group is looking for a Multi-store Area Manager to take our Prestat and Rococo stores to the next level.

With 3 stores already and plans to open more as early as this year, we are looking for an exceptional Multi-store Area Manager who can deliver an unforgettable retail experience and support our existing retail portfolio.

The Role:

Reporting into the Head of Sales / CEO you will be responsible for executing the brand strategy, delivering on sales and profitability targets, and meeting company expectations on customer experience and operational standards.

You will play a pivotal role in turning existing stores around and creating the playbook for retail success for two of Britain’s most exclusive chocolate brands.

Key Responsibilities

A true merchant, you have a passion for unique retail experiences and for selling, as well as a knack for spotting missed opportunities and making changes to achieve quick wins!

You are able to collaborate and influence at all levels, from retail employees to senior management, and you are as comfortable helping customers find the perfect product as you are delivering a presentation to the board of directors.

Your responsibilities will include:

Sales and Strategy:

• Delivering a 3-year plan aligned with objectives identifying opportunities for retail growth.
• Meeting sales and profitability targets by working closely with each store manager to ensure they are set up for success.
• Being the voice of the customer and the stores at company level, working cross-functionally to deliver improvements for retail stores and for the overall retail value proposition.

People Management:

• Developing and attracting top talent, coaching retail teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience and efficient operations.
• Being the main point of contact for all retail HR, including managing staffing budgets, workforce plannings, performance management and supporting store managers where necessary.

Operations:

• Auditing, streamlining and documenting in-store processes to standardise operations and service.
• Ensuring health and safety and food safety protocols and standards are in place and met by conducting audits and spot checks.

Retail Marketing and Events:

• Collaborating with the brand/marketing team on delivering events such as tastings, in-store experiences, fairs and pop-ups.
• Upholding brand guidelines and working with marketing and store managers to ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently met.

Requirements and skills

• 3-5 years of retail management experience
• Experience managing multiple small locations (kiosks, boutiques, concessions)
• Experience in premium food and beverage or luxury
• Proven ability to drive change and train on processes
• Proven ability to coach on selling in a premium/luxury branded environment (adhering to customer service expectations/selling ceremony)
• Strong commercial awareness
• Being comfortable with technology and systems (Slack, Shopify, ERP, etc.), and being able to communicate impeccably in person, online or over the phone.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to find and use data to drive decisions
