### Position Overview


Loewe is seeking a passionate and experienced **Head of Raw Material Development Research** for our leather goods and accessories division. This position, based in Madrid, is pivotal in driving innovation within the company, ensuring the development of new materials meets the aesthetic, quality, cost, creativity, and lead-time expectations of our design teams. This role is central to our mission of blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, and we are open to international candidates, offering relocation assistance if necessary.


### Key Responsibilities


- **Information Management**: Gather, consolidate, and share prioritized research/development information with design teams.

- **Design Collaboration**: Act as the central point for material and technique requests from design teams.

- **Production Viability**: Ensure that developments are launched timely and are production-viable, coordinating with the Raw Materials (RM) team to keep developments on track.

- **Innovation Leadership**: Drive innovative research and explore new techniques in material development.

- **Quality Assurance**: Play a key role in postmortem analysis, risk analysis with Quality during development, and rendering of lab tests.

- **Material Coordination**: Manage material deliveries, organizing material reviews alongside the RM team.

- **Communication Excellence**: Serve as a bridge between various departments, ensuring clear articulation of ideas and concepts.


### Candidate Profile


- **Experience**: Proven success in launching high-end products and managing complex development cycles.

- **Leadership**: Exceptional leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating cross-functional teams.

- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a knack for identifying issues and formulating effective resolutions.

- **Strategic Thinking**: Ability to balance immediate goals with long-term objectives, with a passion for design and luxury goods.

- **Industry Knowledge**: Deep understanding of leather materials, construction techniques, manufacturing processes, and pricing strategies.

- **Adaptability**: Capable of working under pressure in a dynamic environment, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

- **Travel**: Willingness to travel frequently.


### Language Requirement


Fluent in either French or English; openness to non-Spanish speaking candidates.
