Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. This position within the London team will manage the monthly close, annual budgeting, and P&L management of the organization. The responsibilities will strongly focus on but are not limited to the following areas:

Responsibilities

Manage the month-end financial statement close process, including assisting external third-party accounting and tax firms

Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts monthly

Research and report on factors influencing business performance

Develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk

Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities

Manage financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems

Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out

Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organization’s such as the Inland Revenue

Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines

Assist in implementing new sources of finance for the company's debt facilities

Prepare journal entries on a monthly basis

Provide guidance to Budget holders in terms of expenses and closely work with them to control costs

Ensure local statutory accounting and tax compliance.

Contribute to the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reporting packages to senior management and corporate team

Skills/Experience Required

Undergraduate Degree in Accounting

At least 4 years of relevant work experience

Part Qualified

Fluent in English

Experience in luxury retail and/or fashion industry is desirable.

Commercial and business awareness

Excellent communication and presentation skills

An analytical approach to work

Experience with ERP (i.e., SAP, NetSuite)

Problem-solving skills and initiative

Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature

The ability to balance the demands of work with study commitments.

Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize.

The ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships.

Experience with French company reporting

Employment Package: 

FT contract, 25 days Paid Leave + Bank Holidays.
