The brand is now going through a revival and looking for a Lead Designer to join their team based in London. They want someone who is capable of leading the design strategy moving forward; owning the full life cycle of the product and collection in terms of design. 

This position will be tasked with researching current and future trends, creating sketches, and managing the design journey from beginning to end. An ambitious, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, you are able to challenge a brief and demonstrate that you have the talent to deliver fantastic creative ideas that are right for the brand and customer.

Responsibilities: 


-Coordinate the creative side of the business across all departments - W/W, M/W and SLGs


-Create creative and commercial strategies for the company and setting/managing KPIs


-Liaising with he Product Manager as well as factories in Europe to ensure deadlines, quality control and pricing requirements are met


-Managing a team of 2: communication with the atelier and design team 


-Researching seasonal / current / future trends and creating new strategies and ideas, presenting seasonally to key stakeholders


-Analyse domestic and international markets to identify new products while maintaining brand identity and business strategy

-Finalise detailed technical drawings, including sectional and multiple viewpoints.

-Participate in industry conferences and trade shows.


The Candidate:


-Strong career in Handbag Design, understanding the balance between construction details, creative vision and specs


-Proactive and creative, understanding the nuance between emerging trends and commerciality 


-Passionate about design and fashion with a innate understanding of the luxury landscape and leather goods


-Able to work in a fast-paced and hardworking environment, open to understanding a start-up environment whilst at the same time considerate of the luxury history the brand is steeped in


-Ability to multitask and be flexible to work as part of a team and individually when needed


-Highly enthusiastic and motivated with strong presentation and teamwork skills


-Excellent communication skills, fluent in English


-Either based in London or willing to travel to London regularly where the office is based
