## Alyx Studio: Merchandiser Opportunity


Join the vibrant team at Alyx Studio, a brand grounded in street culture and shaped by world-class talent across art, music, and fashion. The creative director Matthew M. Williams blends his California upbringing and insights from the global urban subculture to craft the collection. They are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Merchandiser who will be instrumental in driving the label's growth across all channels. This is an exciting time to join the team as they navigate an exciting period of change for Alyx, revolutionizing the current range and expanding the team to support this growth. The ideal candidate will be based in London and able to be present in their Aldgate East office but the Alyx team is also open to someone based in Paris


### Role Overview


In this role, you will liaise closely with the creative team to infuse data-driven decisions into the collection, and support business growth. Your responsibilities will extend beyond routine tasks, actively participating in relevant projects and striving to refine processes across our Demand Planning and Merchandising teams.


### Key Responsibilities


* Build cross-functional relationships with stakeholders in Wholesale, Ecommerce, Product, Communications, and Finance.

* Develop company merchandising processes to support business growth.

*Review and agree a framework within which a creative, balanced, commercial, and profitable range is built.

*To provide and foster an in-depth knowledge of the luxury marketplace and the competitive landscape in relation to product range, pricing architecture and commercial marketing standpoints to support strategic collection planning.

* Collaborate with the Brand Manager to develop the company planning strategy.

* Analyze annual and seasonal sales and plan category strategies.

* Implement weekly reporting tools to inform strategic replenishments, markdowns, and visual merchandising strategies.

* Manage the direct-to-customer (D2C) buying process and collaborate with regional subsidiaries to ensure creative and commercial balance in seasonal offerings.

* Foster in-depth knowledge of the luxury market and competitive landscape to support strategic collection planning.

* Compile quarterly review reports and work on ad-hoc projects to identify new strategic opportunities.

  • Work with wider team on detailed ad-hoc projects and pro-active analysis on new strategic opportunities to drive business KPI’s.



### Skills and Experience Required


* Previous Merchandising experience within ready-to-wear, preferably in a luxury brand.

* Excellent planning, analytical, financial, budgeting, and forecasting abilities.

* Exceptional problem-solving skills and a solution-based mindset.

* Strong numerical skills and business acumen.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

* Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels.

* Experienced in effective team management and development.

* Passionate about the product with a strong market and brand awareness.

*Comfortable with traveling occasionally (can envisage 1-2 trips to Paris a quarter)
