A very exciting position just came up with a prestige luxury watches and fine jewellery marketplace. Our client is looking for someone to develop, build and execute the category's strategy while working with brands to ensure the brand has the inventory to continue to grow. We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to develop the category strategy for Watches and Fine Jewelry in alignment with brand's growth plans. You will be leading the overall category strategy for each product category, developing opportunities to drive growth with Global and local sellers. You will be accountable for the operational and commercial success of the overall product portfolio and have the ability to build relationships with retail partners to ensure a profitable product portfolio. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high energy environment. They will be a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for delivering results and a pro-active individual.

We are looking for:

  • 6+ years category management experience in leading marketplaces, luxury watch companies/retailers preferably within the Luxury goods or Fashion sector
  • Strong knowledge of Online Marketplaces or E-commerce in general
  • Strong knowledge of buying, merchandising, category planning, business planning, seller operations and performance monitoring
  • Develop each category strategy and lead execution in line with business growth strategy
  • Develop and own the P&L of each category and develop monetisation opportunities
  • Responsible for end to end Selection & brand growth for each category
  • Own and deliver monthly business plans for each category
  • Ability to build strong retail partner relationships for each category
  • Analysing market trends and plan category growth accordingly
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams
  • Prior experience in a top marketplace and startup experience
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and desire with the ability to drive top-level strategy
  • Strong analytical acumen and be comfortable generating and evaluating various forecasts, metrics, and analyses.
  • Curious, self-starter, and be excellent at problem-solving and managing multiple priorities effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written) are critical
